Senior Home Safety Repair Program Receives Additional Funds

Citizens for Citizens, Inc. (CFC) is pleased to announce the receipt of additional grant funding for the CFC Senior Home Safety Repair Program through the generous support of the Sophia Romero Trust Fund.

The funds received from the Sophia Romero Trust Fund have been used by the Senior Home Safety Repair Program to make the home environment less dangerous for low-income elderly homeowners in the Bristol County area with the installation of home safety related products and repairs of home safety hazards at no cost to the homeowners. Since the program’s inception in the spring of 2009, forty-six households have been made safer for their senior citizen residents.

Bank of America, N.A. serves as trustee of the Sophia Romero Fund, which supports organizations providing services to the elderly and particularly, elderly women in Bristol County, Massachusetts.
