Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Many people 55 & over are faced with poor employment prospects in today’s job market. SCSEP opens the door to new opportunities.
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans operated under a U.S. Dept. of Labor grant. We thank the Center for Workforce Inclusion, Inc. for selecting our organization to operate SCSEP in our community.
The mission and purpose of SCSEP is to foster and promote individual, economic self-sufficiency through useful, part-time opportunities in community service assignments for unemployed, low-income people ages 55 and older. The program aims to increase the number of older people who may enjoy the benefits of unsubsidized employment in the public and private sectors of Bristol, Plymouth and Hampden Counties.
