Scholarship Background: The Mark A Sullivan, Jr. Scholarship has been established to honor the legacy of Mark Sullivan who served as the Executive Director of Citizens for Citizens, Inc. for over forty years.  Mr. Sullivan dedicated his life to fighting the causes of poverty as he led the charge in trying to fight  social injustice and financial inequity by administering numerous programs to help people gain self-sufficiency.  Prior to Mr. Sullivan becoming the Executive Director at CFC, he was a professor of Economics at Bristol Community College and felt strongly that a community college provided a great stepping stone for those wishing to further their education. As a gesture to honor his memory, the CFC Board of Directors and Administration have established this scholarship.
