UNION POSITION

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Provides immediate guidance and direction of all personnel assigned to the center including volunteers and aides.
● Conducts staff meetings and observations with center staff, to plan, assess and evaluate the center’s on-going goals and objectives.
● Encourages all parents/families engagement in their child’s development.
● Continuously collaborates with an interdisciplinary team in collecting and correlating official records and information for reporting evaluations, staff training and transfer.
● Maintains full and documented inventory of equipment and supplies and is responsible for ordering all center supplies.
● Ensures Implementation of Head Start performance standards and E.E.C. regulations.
● Implements a plan for ensuring attendance compliance and awareness.
● Conducts and tracks safety drills in compliance with EEC standards.
● Supports Individualized Professional Development Plan of center education team.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
● Lead Teacher and Director certified through EEC

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 30 Hours per week, minimum 41 weeks per year

Pay rate: $30.48 an hour

Physical Requirements:

● Must have a physical every two years. A physician’s certificate is required. New employees must have proof of TB test within the prior year. Thereafter, employees must have an assessment of TB every year

Position Overview:
Oversee all aspects of the multi-million dollar Department of Energy Weatherization, HEARTWAP (heating system repair and replacement) and Utility-Funded programs (including appliance replacement), including setting and achieving production goals, managing the associated budgets, developing detailed and accurate work orders and completing and approving various reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
– Maintain current records of project start dates, ensure that all jobs are properly permitted and all files are complete.
– Review client files for all required documentation before work orders/purchase orders are approved.
– Review contractor invoices before submission to the Finance Dept. Ensure all customer appointments are met and appropriate measures are reported back to customers in a timely manner. Work directly with all program related vendors.
– Mediate contractor or client disputes to a successful resolution.
– Maintain full knowledge of all technical manuals and guidelines as outlined by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities Office of Energy Conservation and utility funders. Timely submission of all monthly reports as required by the state, utility funded entities and agency.
– Maintain complete and up-to date contractor files, participate in procurement of new vendors and pricing according to the programs.
– Ensure that all staff and contractors have and maintain at least minimum certifications for the programs in which they work.
– Manage all field and office staff. Review staff production weekly, including approving time, mileage reimbursement and other supervisory tasks. Complete all background checks for new employees and review confidentiality and privacy policies with staff.
– Attend trainings as mandated by agency or funding sources. Some out of town travel due to conferences, trainings and inspections.
– Must be punctual in submission of all funding source reports.
– May need to be available on a limited basis to respond to no-heat emergency situations of eligible households on weekends/holidays during 11/1 – 4/30.
– All other duties and responsibilities designated by the Executive Director or designee.

Qualifications & Skills:
Conservation or housing construction background. Ability to manage multiple budgets and fulfill varied quota requirements. Excellent computer and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to learn the various required web based systems. Self starter committed to the success of program goals. Sensitivity to the needs of low-income people. Must pass all required background checks and drug testing. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Employee may occasionally be required to perform physical duties such as stand, walk, sit for lengthy periods and reach with arms and stoop. The employee may be required to physically lift up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts, etc.

Salary range is $88,000 – $92,000

Position Overview: Seasonally implement all aspects of a tax preparation

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Duties include but not limited to:
– Coordinate, promote and expand our free tax assistance program during tax season (part time-full time 25-35 hours) Nov-May including supervising seasonal staff and volunteer tax preparers and providing on-site management of our tax clinics. Evening/weekend hours may be required during tax season.
– Select, train/orient program staff and/or volunteers.
– Provide basic budget counseling.
– Comply with all grant program reporting requirements by meeting specified deadlines and adhering to paperwork requirements and procedures
– Ensure that basic VITA financial education resources are available and shared with other
departments.
– Work as a team with other department coordinators to support and promote communication about the program.
– Attend all required meetings and webinars
– Willingness to use ones’ personal vehicle for travel
– All other duties and responsibilities designated by the Deputy or Executive Director.
– Required to follow all current privacy, confidentiality and conflict of interest policies.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field or 3 years commensurable experience in tax preparation
2. Ability to complete all levels of IRS tax certifications, ability to learn and apply basic, intermediate and advanced tax knowledge, ability to recruit, train and supervise volunteers and part-time staff
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
5. Exceptional time management skills with ability to multi-task, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
6. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office applications and databases.
7. Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic diversity and the needs of low income individuals
8. May be required to undergo background and fingerprint checks

Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be required to perform minimal physical duties such as stand, walk, sit for lengthy periods and reach with hands, arms and stoop.  Requires sitting for long periods of time and extensive use of telephone. The employee may occasionally be required to physically lift up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts, etc.

Salary range is $30 – $32/hr based upon experience.

– Directly responsible for the care and teaching of school-age children under the supervision of the supervisory staff
– Complete and submit weekly activity plans
– Execute planned center activities under the direction of the supervisory staff
– Complete monthly anecdotal records and annual reports of enrollees
– Assist in general meal and snack duties

Requirements & Skills:
18 years of age
High school diploma or GED
6 months experience working in a supervised school-age setting, preferred

Position Overview:

– Assist with the direct care of children in group (1:1 or small group)
– Prepare craft and sport supplies for group (only if children are assisting)
– Clean work space (i.e. tables, chairs, floor, chalkboard, etc.) (only if children are participating)
– To participate in group activities, individual student assignments and field trips

– All other duties assigned at the discretion of the site supervisor
